I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist.  I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).  I earned my Master of Education degree from the University of Houston and completed my practicum at Bo’s Place, also located in Houston, Texas.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

I have provided individual and group therapy to clients dealing with a wide range of concerns and diagnoses and enjoy working with clients of all ages.  I have experience working with clients on a variety of issues.  Examples include: depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, self-esteem, career issues, relationship/family issues,  life transitions, grief and loss, and communication skills.  I also enjoy working with children who are medically fragile in conjunction with their medical staff and caregivers.

Most recently, I was the Bereavement Program Director for a multi-state healthcare company, and oversaw the bereavement program of 44 hospice locations.  I worked closely with and provided counseling to the pediatric patients, patients with children in the home, and those patients and family members who needed additional support.

I believe that we can all benefit from counseling, especially during certain seasons of our lives.  I love puppies, traveling, reading and spending time with my friends and family.
